About HCTA

Humanity Common Thread Association (HCTA) was founded in the fall of 2025 after five HR professionals connected during a regional HR roundtable discussion centered around the growing challenges facing today’s workforce. What began as an open conversation about burnout, compliance pressures, technology overload, employee wellbeing, and the need for stronger professional support quickly evolved into a shared realization: HR professionals needed more than networking events — they needed a true community.

The founding members recognized that many professionals across HR, payroll, benefits, operations, and leadership roles were searching for a space where they could openly collaborate, continue learning, seek guidance, and support one another without judgment. From those conversations, HCTA was created with the belief that behind every policy, process, and workplace initiative is a human being deserving of empathy, connection, and support.

Built around the vision of creating a safe space for continued education, problem-solving, wrap-around support, and humanity, HCTA exists to bring professionals together through meaningful relationships and practical resources. The association’s mission is to empower HR professionals through a community that offers opportunities for professional development, mental wellness, physical health, and technological integration — helping members thrive both personally and professionally.

Today, HCTA continues to grow as a collaborative network focused on strengthening workplaces, supporting people, and creating a stronger, more connected HR community through shared experiences, education, innovation, and humanity.
